She points out common writing tics as well as issues with suspension of disbelief, character credibility, and scene transitions.
Melinda Di Lorenzo is the author of more than thirty books. With over fifteen years in publishing, she brings her signature twists to life on every page. Her romantic suspense titles with Harlequin have sold more than 300,000 copies and been translated into French, Icelandic, and Russian. Additionally, she has a Braille translation for the award-winning book, Racing Hearts. Melinda is the 2013 winner of the So You Think You Can Write contest, which launched her into the romance world.
Also in 2013, her romantic thriller, Tattoos & Tangles, reached number 3 on the Amazon charts and sold more than 20,000 copies in its first week. The same title again charted in 2015, when it was picked up by Amazon Encore. She also has two starred picks from CCBC for Best Books for Kids and Teens, is the recipient of the Junior Library Guild Gold Standard award, and has a commendation from the Young Adult Library Services Association. She has been featured in BC BookWorld magazine for her stance on body positivity and interviewed for the Wall Street Journal on issues of consent in literature.
