Gabrielle has expertise in picture books, middle grade novels, non-fiction for kids and teens, teen novels, and short stories, novellas and novels for adults with special focus on science fiction fantasy, romance, and thrillers. Gabrielle has also worked with many memoirists.

Gabrielle is an editor, writer, and actor living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She is the award-winning author of over twenty books for children and teens. Her 2013 novel in verse, Audacious,won the Westchester Book Award. Her 2017 YA sci-fi Zero Repeat Forever won the BC Book Prize, and her 2025 novel The Anxious Exile of Sara Salt has been nominated for the Silver Birch Award, the Chocolate Lily Award, and the Myrca Award among other honours. Gabrielle has worked as a writer in residence at Vancouver Public Library and Powell River Public Library. She has toured twice with the BC Book Prizes, as well as with the Canada Children’s Book Week Tour.
